I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"Amanda looked after our son for 10 months from his first birthday until he was 22 months old. We can’t say enough good things about how well she cared for him. Our son loved Amanda and her family and loved going to daycare. In addition to being well cared for, he showed real improvements in his development, including in his speech and vocabilary and his ability to play with other kids and socialize.

Amanda is a fantastic care provider and exceeded our expectations for the standard of care we wanted for our son. She is well prepared everyday with healthy snacks and accommodated our son’s food allergies. She is well organized and sticks to a daily routine that includes lots of play and rest. In particular, Amanda made a specific point of getting the kids outside – either to the park or in her backyard – on a regular basis so they could run around and play which was really important to us. She also planned special activities for the kids such as visiting the fire department and the library.

Amanda also goes above and beyond in many ways. She made the extra effort to continue using cloth diapers on our son while he was with her. She gave us regular updates on how our son was doing with progress reports on how he was getting along with other kids and what activities he was doing. She took lots of photos which she shared with us regularly which we also greatly appreciated.

We are so grateful for all the effort that Amanda put in for our son, we absolutely can’t say enough goods things about just how much effort she put in everyday to making our son’s experience a positive one. The results speak of her efforts speak for themselves as we saw our son improve in so many ways under her care. We are happy to recommend Amanda to any parent that is looking for care for their child and would be happy to discuss further."

"Our two children started with Amanda in June of 2016. Our youngest still attends weekly and our oldest is always excited to get to go on any school holidays when it works out. Amanda has worked with our children from ages 1.5 to 5 plus and has always managed to cater activities to every developmental stage they have been at. The activities and learning opportunities she provides are phenomenal. The thing that has been the most important to us is how much our children and we love Amanda. She is kind and loving and creates a calm, happy environment where children and positive behaviours thrive. We have and will again recommend Amanda without hesitatation!"

"Our son has been with Amanda since the fall 2017 and she also gets our daughter on the bus in the morning. We have been through a couple of daycare providers and wish we had found Amanda sooner. Her home is welcoming and her experience as an early childhood educator is evident in the activities and learning opportunities she offers to the children. We feel that our son will be better prepared for kindergarten as Amanda focuses on many of the routines and experiences that he will encounter in the school environment. We also love the amount of time that they spend outdoors. Amanda is amazing at communicating with parents. Daily updates are provided by email and a photo album is sent out every month. She is so patient and loving with the kids and our son loves going to her house. We would highly recommend Amanda!"
