I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"My daughter L has been in "her Angie's" care since she was 16 months old. She loves going and always has so much fun. She has stories to tell and loves the food. "Miss Angie is a good cook mom. So good. "

Angela always has a monthly calendar and fun theme days for the kiddos, which makes it easier to get out the door. The kids garden in the spring and summer and spend time outside all year round (if it's safe). Angela always communicates with us about any changes, barely takes any time off and if She does, she is clear and give us plenty of notice and reminders.

The moment I spoke to Angela for the first time I knew she was a unicorn in the home daycare world. I keep sending all my neighbours and their kiddos to her.

I'm trying hard not to think of how we say goodbye this fall for L to start kindergarten. We are so grateful Angela and her husband are so active in the community so we can see them often."

"We have had our daughter at Sunny Daycare with Angela ("Angie") since she was 12 months old. I imagine that it's always hard to transition to having your first born watched by someone else during the day and finding the right care was very important to me. What drew me to Angie was that there was a warmth about her posting for an open spot. And even when we spoke on the phone, I got the sense she was a caring and compassionate person.

Over the past 3 years, I can say that my initial gut feeling was absolutely right. Angie has the kids best interest at heart and only wants the best for them. She plans a calendar full of theme days, diverse activities, creative snacks, and field trips. My favourite part of the day is picking up our daughter and checking her art bag, as there was almost always something in there for her to share with us. As she now can tell us about our day, we get to hear about the dance parties, silly games, indoor/outdoor playtimes and amazing lunches she enjoys so much.

On top of all of this, Angie's communication is incredible and friendly. A monthly calendar is provided along with text/email updates of any important notices. When cold/flu season is approaching, she gives helpful resources and guidelines to take the guesswork out of it.

We could not recommend Angie's daycare anymore. It's been an absolute pleasure and although we are excited for our daughter's first day at kindergarten, her last day at Sunny Daycare will surely be a bittersweet one."

"Angela has cared for our daughter, who is now 5, since she was 13-months old and I returned to work after mat leave. Having worked as an ECE in child care centres for almost 10 years, I had seen both the best and the less than ideal care providers out there and I was extremely apprehensive about choosing the "right" person and environment for our daughter. Four years later, I can easily say that we couldn't have made a better choice. Angela and her family provide a home away from home for the daycare children. Their home is warm and nurturing, full of life and laughter, and my daughter has always loved spending her days there. In fact, she often refers to Angela's family as her "other family" and Angela's daughter has become a big sister to my daughter. Angela is loving, patient and understanding, with a silly streak the kids adore. My daughter feels absolutely safe and secure with her, and when I'm at work I am completely confident that she is happy, safe and receiving lots of stimulation. I credit her time at daycare with how confident and social she is now.

Beyond the excellent care she provides, Angela is also easy to communicate with, very open and forthcoming. I also have to mention that she has done an amazing job adapting during Covid - the clever changes she made about how daycare space and toys were set up, the screenings and extra cleaning she has taken on, the drop off/pick up protocols she set up, and the overall care she has taken to keep her family and everyone else's family safe and healthy have been great.

I really can't say enough about the care our daughter has received at Angela's. The entire experience has been wonderful (many a time I have called Angela a life-saver!) and I know that when my daughter starts "big school" in September we will maintain our relationship with Angela and her family, because they really have become our family as well. I would recommend Angela to any parent without hesitation."

"She took care of both my kids, very reasonable professional easy to get a long with person. very positive and exceptionally careful during covid. followed all protocols and communicated with parents regularly on changes. I've always felt completely comfortable leaving my kids with her, her family has become our family. A lovely backyard with lots of activities climbing apparatuses a variety of indoor activities and special days with planned themes and activities. Snacks are homemade and healthy. I have no complaints about this provider and highly recommend her to any parents. open warm , accepting, compassionate."

"My daughter was in Angela's care since we moved to Hamilton in the late Spring. Angela is a warm, kind and patient care provider. We were sad to have to say goodbye. We had to make the tough decision to leave when my long commute and new work schedule meant my daughter would need to be in care closer to my work rather than our home. Our daughter became fast friends with Angela's little girl. It was the first time my daughter was left in care and didn't cry at drop off. In fact, she would often ask if she'd be going to Angela's on her days off or weekends. And she still asks if Angela's daughter is coming to play. My daughter loved the time they spent outdoors, the arts and crafts days and the walks to the park. She'll miss playing dress-up too. We would definitely recommend Angela's care to other parents."

"Oh my...where do I start? Angela has been caring for my oldest son for 2 years now, and my youngest sone for 1 year now. If you are looking for daycare, STOP LOOKING AND HIRE ANGELA ASAP!!! A person needs daycare when they can't care for their own children...and you are looking for someone you trust as much as you trust yourself to care for your children. I felt SO comfortable with Angela, and trusted her 100% right from the start. She has NEVER let me down, and it is the best feeling to know when your children are being taken care of in the best way.

Not only does she feed them nutritious food, ensure they have a balanced day of outside play and indoor play, learn new things, read books, learn diligent jobs like caring for other people and cleaning up toys...but she also LOVES them so much like they are her own children. My boys have had such a wonderful time being with her.

Her communication with the parents is always meticulous and much appreciated. I knew I could always count on her to let me know what was going on with them, and if any issues were raised. She's VERY fair, and very approachable.

Personally, I think it's important to note that there have been several times that she has gone ABOVE AND BEYOND what was expected of her. We do not have extended family here, and my second son was scheduled to be born on a Saturday. I asked Angela if she would mind watching our older son on that day, and she was more than happy to oblige! The sense of relief we felt that he was with her all day instead of someone we didn't trust as much was so comforting on a day that we needed to be solely focused on the birth of our second son. This gesture meant so much to us. And that's only one example! There are several others.

So, in conclusion, I would recommend to anyone that they choose Angela to care for their children...and to ANGELA - I would recommend that you continue to care for children for the rest of your life! This was your calling!!! :)"

"I cannot say enough wonderful things about Angela. My daughter was lucky enough to spend almost 3 years in her care. During this time, my daughter became part of her family. She developed and thrived, surrounded by so much warmth, attention and individualized care. From theme days to outings around the neighborhood, from dance parties to arts and crafts projects, my daughter had fun, she explored the world and her surroundings, she connected to new friends and she thrived. "Our family can't say enough wonderful things about this place! When we were looking for childcare for our son we looked everywhere, and when we went to see Angela we stopped looking. We knew this was the place for us.
Angela is amazing. She is easy to communicate with, honest, has integrity, and everything is centered around what is best for the child. She is kind, gentle, patient and loving. My son feels at home with her and I feel so comfortable like she is a family member. We couldn't ask for a better caregiver for our son when we are working. We have the up most respect and trust for Angela and the environment she has created to care and educate our little one. I noticed our son’s vocabulary grew and his manners improved when he came home at the end of the day. He was with her when he first learned to walk and talk and helped him grow. He was always happy and excited to go in the morning to see his friends and Angela. She made sure he was eating properly and felt loved. She gave us updates through the day via text and even included pictures that made me smile.
Sunny Daycare is a daycare that I have come to love so much when dealing with finding quality care for my son. Angela and her family have become an important part of my son’s life as well as my own. I am so happy that I ultimately chose this daycare. My son has grown as a boy so much at this place with all the help and encouragement that Angela and her family give to ensuring the best possible development for a child at their respective age. I love the outings she takes the kids on to keep the kids not only entertained but educated as well. Things like going to the park or taking weekly library trips for reading time and/or sing-a-longs and also swimming at the local waiting pools. I fully endorse Sunny Daycare as a healthy choice for a daycare provider as well as for your own child's development. We are very thankful we found her. She will be missed by us and especially our son."

"I returned to work earlier than originally planned so my son, Benjamin, went to Angela's care when he was just over 9 months old. He absolutely loves Angela! In less than a month, I noticed how much his napping/sleeping pattern has improved. He became part of Angela's daycare family quickly and nicely. Angela is extremely thorough, pays careful attention on how Ben's day goes and gives updates on a daily basis. I often received notes and/or pictures in the mid of day - they made me smile knowing my little monkey is in good care!"

"My son Hayden has been with Angela since he was 12 months old - now 3yrs. In the time Hayden has been there she has never been un professional in any way. Her care and demeanor with the children is excellent. My son is loved and happy and has learned so much beyond things I've taught him - art, counting, songs, reading writing etc. The structure of the day is always exciting for Hayden and he loves Angela very much. "I couldn’t ask for a better daycare provider. Angela has been amazing. She is wonderful with children. Her own son is an absolute darling and she fosters a loving environment for all the other children in her care. I actually trust her with my 1 year old more than even family members!

She definitely ensured that my son received all the individual care that he needed. She even cuddles with him after he wakes up from his naps, for up to half an hour, which he loves (and then he also loves running around playing too). He’s clearly so happy in her care and loves going to daycare and playing with the other kids there.
