I obtained services from this non-profit daycare centre and I find that:

"St Alban's is a great daycare, I only wish they had infant care too! They are no-nonsense in their approach and really encourage kids to learn in all aspects. For example, if kid 1 hit kid 2, they will give kid 2 a chance to respond on their own, once kid 2 responds then they will take both kids and teach what is wrong about hitting and teach them an alternative way to communicate. They celebrate different holidays like Diwali, Lunar New Year, etc in addition to Canadian ones to encourage diversity. Toys are rotated so they are always playing with different things to keep them interested. My kid always comes home talking about what was discussed at school, like solar eclipse or how penguins rear their young, etc. They even sat down with my kid to help them study for an upcoming test when we mentioned we were struggling with studying! These are some of the things you won't find in other daycare centres."
