I met with this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"I made arrangemnets with Aimee to provide before and after school chilcare, as well as school closure dates, for my two boys starting in January when school started back after Christmas. This was confirmed over the phone and by e-mail (which I have copies of). On December 30th, I received an e-mail (not even a phone call) from Aimee saying she would no longer be providing me with child care due to a scheduling conflict with her son. She said her son had preschool on Mondays and Wednesdays and she had to pick him up and would not be home in time for my boys to get off the bus. When I offered to make arrangements for someone to pick them up on those days, she went on further to say that she didn't realize how many school closure days there were (had only just looked them up!) and that there were too many (even though I work shift work and had explained that she wouldn't always have them). Lastly, Aimee stated that she felt my boys would be "bored" at her house. So essentially, I wasn't given the whole truth the first time. I was given 5 days notice, on New Year's Eve, that I wouldn't have chilcare; by e-mail; and I wasn't given the whole truth. Not professional at all! I was very disappointed and put in a very difficult situation."
