"Like other posters, this woman was so nice in the beginning then throughout care, we found out more and more about her family. She ended up moving without telling us, stole our money and tried to cash more cheques that she didn’t return. She lied to us many times and I caught her many times. Child was stuck in the basement all the time and never went outside. Stay away"

"Initially, Tammy was a warm and caring daycare provider and we had no reservations leaving our child in her care. Unfortunately, our impression changed significantly once we were informed that her son had an addiction issue and decided to take our child out of her care. Tammy did not provide any advance notice that her son had a substance abuse problem and while I respect people's privacy, withholding such information from your clients in this kind of business is dangerous and unethical. When we informed her that we wished to cancel our contract (with 2 weeks of notice), she was extremely rude and referred to non-existent terms within her contract that required us to provide 4 weeks notice and additional severance payments as we were long term clients. There was no such clause in her contract and we abided by what was written in her contract at ALL times. She is a very poor business person and clearly does not have the best interests of her clients in mind. We just learned from parents who decided to continue their care with her that she moved over the Labour Day weekend and provided no forwarding address and had her cell and phone numbers changed. Imagine going to drop off your and being greeted by the new owner of your caregiver's house?!! Unreal. Stay far away from this provider!!"

"I felt horrible for leaving my child with her after I found out everything. The kids are in the basement most of the time and the room is not that large. Tammy, would have her daughter watch the kids (which was fine we liked her) but with the daughter comes the boyfriend and large dog. There are o many things I can not list them all. Tammy seems very nice until you need to take your child out of her care than she becomes very mean. Please learn from me use a different home daycare.

"When my daughter started with Tammy things were great. We were happy with her services up untill we told her we were moving and taking our daughter out of her care.She lied to us to get vacation pay and also lied to other parents who are our freinds saying that we said negative comments about their child.All of this was unnessary and very childish. I found out from another mother that used Tammy's daycare that she did the same thing to her and another family when they were taking their children out of her care. I would not recommend her to anyone after this experience and what i found out from other parents. My friends also took their daughter out of her care after all this ."

"Tammy is the most loving, caring and attentive child care provider a parent could ask for. Our son, who was with her from the age of 1 to almost 3 took to her right away. I felt comfortable and confident that we was in very good hands when I was at work. This became his home away from home and the whole Melnick family welcomed him as if he was one of the family. The children were always playing outdoors and bringing home arts and crafts projects and eating fresh, homemade lunches and snacks.
