"Wow! Your child was not in my care since August 2010. I am taken back by this review! My home and daycare are extremely safe for any child. I have never had any issues with a child going into cupboards with cleaning supplies? The children do not leave the home -I believe in having set rules- they are also never out of my sight. My hours of work are from 7-5 pm. I took a day off as I was leaving for a family wedding. I never even took a sick day while your son was in my care. I am actually hurt by the strong negative review after your son was in my care for almost a year. I did arts and crafts in the daycare and I do all of the activites provided. This review was based on July and August and I do admit that we spend more time in the park as the weather is beautiful. My focus on educational activities are minimal for the summer months as I provide that every day from September till June. The winter months we stay in the home and focus on reading books,vocabulary words counting alphabet, singing songs, dancing and letting kids learn through play for developement. I am sorry I did not send the scribbles your son made from 15 months- because any provider knows a child that young cant be coloring or painting( most of the time your son would try and eat the crayons!) Craft time with toddlers under 2 end up being Natalie's creative session!
I do feed the kids exceptionally well! Kraft diner and hot dogs is a treat in my daycare and is served once possibly twice a month. Most parents and daycares serve this as a staple food weekly! Criticizing on nap times? Seriously ? A childs nap time will vary when they are outdoors... It is too bad you left the daycare on negative terms because I took one day off that was not planned- I cared for your son as if he he were my own. You say I do not have the childs safety at heart. As a mother and child care provider for someones most precious gem- I was astounded when you dropped off your child sick to me when you were off! I had to call your wife to tell her I did not feel comfortable with his syptoms- which resulted in him being admitted to Cheo for a few evenings and on antobiotics. You sir did not have the best interest of your son at heart. As a closing to your negative review being a child care provider is one of the most important jobs -which in my eyes is more than just a job as it is opening up your home to raise someone else's child. I am one of the most energetic ,fun loving providers in my area and all of my current parents would agree! As my two other reviews are 4 + and because of a few incidents you decide to be so negative and rude towards me! Hope all is well with you and your family!"
