+4 Childcare provider: Diana Abou-Assaleh

I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"I had my 18 months old in this daycare and found the provider very reliable and exceptionally good with my child. She has taught her how to handle a spoon/fork, many children's songs and helped us potty train her and many more great things.

I would definitley recommend this daycare for someone's to my friends.

Thank you."

+1 Childcare provider: Diana

I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"This childcare provider ensured that my child was cared for efficiently, from what I could make of it considering I have a 16 month old who can't really tell me otherwise.

The only drawbacks were:

-the impractical expectations for pick up when a child is sent home sick (i.e. runny nose with no other symptoms of illness), parents rely on these services to accomodate their busy work schedules and no employer would ever put up with an employee's constant absenteism.

-daycare provider gave written two weeks notice of terminatin of services to my child with no explanation as to why this was taking place. The letter was never hand delivered or discussed with parents and simply placed in child's day bag for us to find. It wasn't until the provider was called to clarify the contents of the letter that the reasoning was established. Our part time position was to be replaced with a full time position, without having been given an opportunity, ourselves, to opt for the full time positon which we likely would have considered. The possibility of this happening was discussed in the beginning and it was verbally agreed to by both parties that the option would be presented to us first. We found this to be very unprofessional on the provider's part and would hope that future dilemmas with other parents will be dealt with in a much more professional manner."

Provider's reply:

"Thank you for your feedback, I greatly appreciate it. I am glad you are sharing your experience with the public. I think it is very important.

Please note that your child was never sent home with a clear runny nose just because. A letter was provided to you notifying you of the details that a sick child cannot be accepted at the daycare by the direction of the public health due to the scare of H1N1. When your child arrived with a colored runny nose (green or yellow) those are signed of infection ( you are welcome to consult any medical professional and they will tell you the same). you are also welcome to review any daycare's policy of sickness and you will find the same results.

as for the 2 weeks notice. It is clearly stated in my welcome letter that if either side need to terminate, 2 weeks notice is valid.

I would be curious to see your reviews of other daycares your child attends in the future.

Thank you again for sharing your experience, this is what helps a business to be more successfull.
