"This place is wonderful!
Ms. Marigeta cares about the kids she doesn't just look after them. My daughter, Claudia, "graduated" two weeks ago when she started JK and she misses a lot her teacher, her friends and the food that Miss prepares. She loved the food so much that I had to ask for the recipe so I can make her the same thing at home 
The learning environment is very creative and stimulating. The preschool experience here gave Claudia great foundation to transition in to Kindergarten. Her reading and writing are way beyond her age group. She learned and grew so much when she was there.
The summer and winter concerts, performed in three languages (Romanian, English and French) are amazing!
I also liked the fact that she makes time to upload pictures of your child everyday so you know what they're doing, and upon pickup she tells you on what they've done (how much they ate, how long they slept, when they last went to potty).
We couldn't be more grateful for Ms. Marigeta, amazing teacher that our family will always remember fondly.
Great place, highly recommended!"

"Our daughter, Maya has just started JK and all of us are sad that she left Picola Daycare . We are so grateful and don’t have enough words to thank Ms. Marigeta for the amazing care and love she showed to Maya. For 2 years and a half we were blessed having such a great teacher for Maya. Our daughter grew up a healthy and a well behaved girl thanks to the heathy food and good education received from her teacher. As parents we were very impressed by how well Ms. Marigeta prepared all the kids at her daycare for summer and winter concerts to perform in three languages: Romanian, English and French.
We have already missed her exceptional support, care and advice and are doing our best to keep in touch with her. As always Ms. Marigeta continues to reply to our messages and to welcome our updates about the first week of kindergarden.
I am hapoy to recommend Picola daycare to everyone as your child is going to be in good hands and most importantly you little one will be loved and love his/her teacher and colleagues."

"My son had a great experience at Picola Home Day Care. He went with great pleasure every day, and even now after almost 6 months he is still asking when he can go back (now he is JK, in school).

The services of this daycare are exceptional:
-the kids are feeling safe and loved (and they are safe and loved);
-the learning environment is very strong and diverse, way ahead of the curriculum for their age (including French);
-the meals are great -healthy and fresh home cooked daily (no sugary snacks, but smart choices)
-the space is very clean and well maintained.

The teacher is very pleasant, experienced, loves her job and all the kids adore her.

Personally I will never forget the winter concerts at Picola, and how happy my son was there every day."

We are extremely happy with our experience at Picola Daycare. Our daughter has been going to this daycare for 2 years, and she absolutely loved the place. She comes home every day very happy, singing and still talking about the teacher and hers friends, eager to go again next morning.

"We found out about Picola daycare from a friend who highly recommended it.

My son was 2 years old when he started going to Picola, and spent 3.5 years in it. He loved it. Every morning he was rushing to go there and he learned so much that now, when he goes to school everything seems very easy.

As a mother of four I know what it takes to raise a child. I quickly gained the confidence that he is in good hands and well taking care of.

The teacher loves and takes care of all the kids like her own. She provides very healthy food, clean environment and teaches each child as per his/her level of understanding and age, covering all areas of development and even beyond curriculum while making the learning fun.

I highly recommend this daycare and want to THANK the teacher for taking such good care of my son! We cherish all the memories gathered during this time!"

"I couldn’t ask for more from a private daycare. I took my daughter initially to a public , very convenient, daycare. She cried all day for two weeks. We have decided to try something else – Picola Daycare. In an hour our daughter was comfortably playing in this daycare. In the next year we put our son into this daycare where he is still going today.
Both of them were coming home and they were still talking about their teachers. They love children, take a good care of them and kids don’t make the difference between the family and the daycare. And as for me, a very busy parent, when I drop the kids in the morning I have the confidence that somebody watches them as good as I would do or even better.
I would strongly recommend this daycare to anyone and I want to thank to everyone involved in this daycare for their dedication."

"We found Picola day care in the summer of 2012. We moved our daughter form another day care to Picola, after looking for a new day care and seeing quite a few day cares in Toronto. Somebody recommended it to us, as being excellent. In did it is.

It was a huge shift for us and for her. She changed from the kid that was crying in the morning and be anxious to leave in the afternoon to the kid that is just happy to go there, and all in a matter of days. I remember that for the first time, since being a parent I was going to work knowing that my kid is happy and well taken care of, best feeling in the world for a parent . I love the teacher approach on so many important things like: healthy food, manners, teaching, communicating…etc. She really is an excellent educator .The years that passed only confirmed what we noticed in the first month. My daughter learned so much, she really enjoys learning because they learn having fun, she loves the food, she loves her teacher and she loves her friends there.
I would absolutely recommend the place, to any parent that is looking for a place that will make both kids and parents happy."

"We used this childcare provider and our experience was not a pleasant one unfortunately. The range group of children is 2.5 - 4.5 year old and they all are in the same room. The place is very small for 10 children. As a parent, I felt that teacher was offering more attention to elder children preparing them for school so that younger children were left playing alone. Our daughter used to get sick very often especially in winter time because it's a walk out space and when parents picked up/ dropped off the kids, the room got colder which made them get sick often. Teacher chooses children based on preferences and often labels them. Suggestions for improvement: group children based on age and have appropriate activities within that range; not to discriminate children; up - to - date teaching techniques, open to parents' feedback and possible have an extra entrance door ; respect parents and not to give advise or gossip other parents."

"We are extremely pleased with this daycare, run by a qualified and dedicated teacher, who cares about the little ones and has a passion for teaching young kids. Our daughter has been going to Picola daycare for two years and half now and she absolutely loves it there. She comes home every day happy, well taken care of, signing songs and is ready to start reading. We feel very fortunate to have found such a wonderful place where she is growing and learning.

The daycare is very clean and organized. Daily routine and structured programs are established and include healthy home-cooked meals, naptime, circle time, indoor as well as outdoor activities.
The children learn many social, physical and academic skills and how to treat one another with respect.
I strongly recommend this daycare to any parents looking for a healthy, positive and caring environment for their children."

"Exceptional educational approach, high quality nutritious meals and an nurturing environment. This is how I would describe Picola Daycare as a parent!
A parent can function well at work if he/she knows that his offspring is happy in the place she/he is being dropped every morning. After a great start at Picola Daycare, my daugher wanted to go there even on Saturdays and Sundays! Beautiful toys, good food and a caring ECE makes Picola Daycare a great, unique place. But it's not only that! All the curriculum expectations acordingly to this age are being taught in all areas of development: cognitiv, social-emotional, language and phisical(fine and gross motor). More than that, French language is introduced as well. What else can be better? We, as parents, are thrilled for the progress our daughter has made in a two year span, since she started. We also cherish the good memories of the yearly Christmas Concerts that are unique! I would recommend this place for every parent. I do not believe there is/can be another like this."

"I am super happy with our experience at this daycare. I checked many other daycare and I got the feeling my kids will not go to a daycare. But finally in 2010 we found Picola daycare. Is like a dream - is the place where you feel your child will be even better than home. I KNOW that when I leave my children at Picola daycare they are in good hands.

The amount of learning that happens through play and structured activity is great and the kids are super happy about being there. I have two children attending Picola daycare and I am very happy. Both kids loves their teacher. She is the grates teacher I've met. She is caring and loving to all the children.The level of personalized attention for both parents and children is unmatched. I am extremely happy with the care and the educational aspects of the program. I am always surprised about who much my children have learned, from French to math, writing, art, musical show, manners, sport, how to eat healthy food, has it covered!!! I HIGHLY recommend this daycare. It is the best daycare in the North York area. If you're looking for a great place, look no further!"
