I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"Maria (Little Angels Daycare) is amazing. She loves and treats the babies as if they are her own. You can just tell that she loves each child so much. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a home daycare for their little one.

She always has a small group of children and of varying ages. She has many toys and games to keep the children entertained inside and outside. Her backyard is fully fenced and safe. For sleep, the children have a separate room and their own pack & play (vs. a cot). They have lots of play time, music and dance time, etc. She does not use any fancy apps and getting ahold of her will be through her house phone. I don’t believe they do many adventures away from the house any more but her home has plenty to do! She does speak Spanish to the children as well, which is a nice perk!"

"Little Angels Daycare goes above and beyond. The space is clean & bright with a good size yard & a variety of activities for the children. But what impressed us the most is the genuine love & care Maria shows the children in her daycare. She loves & treats each child as if they were her own. They sing, dance, play, read stories & my children loved going to Little Angels everyday. It gave us such peace of mind that our children were not only in a safe & stimulating environment but a loving one too. Thank you Little Angels for caring for our children so lovingly all these years."

I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"My daughter Mila started with Maria just before she turned 1 and Maria has provided a loving and nurturing environment for her. Maria's daycare is amazingly clean (I don't know how she keeps it so clean!) with a lot of different interactive toys for the kids to play with. Maria also takes the kids out to the libraries, splash pad, parks and drop in centres for the kids to play and interact with other children in the neighbourhood.

She has taught and helped reinforce good manners and helped Mila to become an independent little girl. Mila also loves Maria's cooking, usually asking for "Maria's chicken", "Maria's pasta" or "Maria's soup". Our whole family loves Maria and see her as an extension of our family. It's evident that Maria truly loves each child that is in her care."

"My son has been with Maria for almost 3 years and she has been an instrumental figure in our family. She provides our son with a nuturing, loving, fun and structured environment. Maria's daily routine provides a solid structure and one that I've adopted on the weekends too. My son loves to recount his day to me and it is filled with fun activies - trips to the local splash pad, park, community drop-in centres or library. Maria provides balanced and nutricious meals and snacks. My experience has been truly amazing and my son absolutely loves his time at daycare. I 100% trust Maria and highly recommend Little Angels. Maria is not only a wonderful cargiver to my son but she has also become a part of our family."

I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"My son has been in Maria's care for over two years. He is 3 now. The reason we are leaving is because he is moving to pre-K class at the school he will go to. This is the only way we can secure a spot in the school daycare for before/after school when he starts Kindergarten.

We love Maria and so does my son. She cares for him the same way I would if I was able to keep him at home with me. They go out in the community for outings everyday, which includes local drop ins, library, and parks. They get plenty of exercise and fresh air playing outside. (important for my high energy kid!) She makes home made, healthy, balanced meals for the children, which includes accommodating my child's milk allergy. She teaches kids good manners and my son is meeting or ahead of all milestones such as language. Maria's daycare is immaculate. Kids are so messy but she keeps the space clean and tidy, including deep cleaning when illness happens among the kids.

I recommend Maria if you want a nurturing home environment for you little one :) We will miss her!"

"My wife and I cannot speak highly enough of Maria Thomas and Little Angels Daycare service she has provided to us. Our son Joshua has been attending her daycare since he was 1 year old (he is now 3 1/2). And unfortunately we will not be able to use Maria when Josh starts kindergarten in the fall because the school is in a different area. Maria provides an exceptionally clean, bright, positive and fun environment for the kids under her care.

She takes the children to local community centres a couple days a week (weather permitting), allowing the kids to interact with other children while participating in different activities from arts/crafts to games. On really nice days, she will go to the park or over to another at home daycare in the neighbourhood with a big back yard.

She never takes on more then 5 children at any given time and she prepares home cooked and healthy meals/snacks for the kids. But most importantly, Maria loves the children as if they were her own. To us it feels as though Maria is family. She is always willing to offer her advice when it comes to raising your child, setting routines and offering methods of discipline.

We were experiencing some challenges with Joshua when it came to transitions and overall discipline. She requested our consent to speak with a local community health centre (that has Community Support Staff trained to work with kids) on both our and Joshua's behalf. (essentially she was finding out who we should call for help saving us the leg work). She even hosted the meeting that my wife and I set up where the Community Support Worker came to Maria's home and met with myself, my wife, Maria and our son Joshua. The meeting was a big success because it allowed both my wife and I to be on the same page with Maria in how to deal with our son when he was acting out. It also provided tips and tricks to help us that have proven to be highly effective.

Overall, we will miss Maria greatly when Josh starts school in the fall. She is the first place we will call if we have another child because we would use use her services again in a heartbeat. With Maria, you need not ever worry about leaving your child with her. They are in for a real treat when she is looking after them. :)"

"If you are looking for a place where your child will be shown love and given lots of individual attention in a clean and wonderful learning environment, Maria is your best choice!

I still recall when I first saw Maria: Walking down the street I saw a young school age boy jump off his bike and run over to Maria to give her a big hug. This boy was a child who had been in her care previously and clearly loved her.

Now my son does the same, and so do many of the neighbourhood children. This is why I call her 'the mother of Mimico'!

Maria is a warm-hearted and very experienced caregiver. She knows how to motivate, teach and care for children on a personal level. My son learned the alphabet, numbers, basic life skills, politeness and starting printing well before kindergarden because of Maria.

She is understanding, always had back ups if she was ill, and had a great relationship with parents. She worked with us during potty training as well, and I think did most of the work for us to be honest.

You just won't get this personal and loving approach in a large daycare centre."

"We had our son Noah with Maria from age 1 to 4. Maria is like family now. She is loving and caring and provides a very warm and fun enviornment for the children. She is very structured and teaches good manners. She provided them with opportunities comparable to larger day care centers. They regularly would go to day care drop in centers where the kids could interact with others. They go to the park, down to the lakeshore walking path and other fun places. Our son is 5 now and we still have Maria come to his Birthday parties and we also try to go and see her from time to time. Just a wonderful woman and wonderful space."

"My son had the amazing fortune of being cared for by Maria for 3 years, and my daughter is currently under her care. Maria is the definition of loving, the children are "her babies" and the love they have for her in return is obvious. It is such a happy environment.

Maria goes above and beyond to work on numbers, letters, printing, etc. When my son started JK this year his teacher commented immediately on his grasp of numbers and reading. That is all Maria.

You will not regret entrusting your children in Maria's loving care."

"Maria is a wonderful caregiver who looked after our daughter from the age of 1. The daycare is bright and safe with many fun and educational toys, as well as a nice outdoor space. Maria provides a very loving environment; it is very clear she loves the children in her care. She feeds nutritious meals and takes the children on many neighbourhood outings. Our daughter was well-socialized as a result. Maria is energetic, hard-working and extremely reliable. She provides the personalized, one-on-one attention that little ones need. I could not recommend Maria more highly."
