ABOUT US:
We are opening additional spaces on a scattered schedule in a very loving learning facility with beautiful house estate settings that organizes a cultural learning program for children aged 1-5 years old. Our programming is organized around 5 holistic principles to offer a seasonal syllabus that includes a weekly routine revolving around 7 focuses: Music, Art, Literacy, Science, Athletics, Recreation, and Spirituality (ex. yoga). Daily outdoor time and physical development in addition to cognitive activities are at the foundation of our daily routine. Past & current references for care include child protection social workers, nurses, doctors, and Vancouver Coastal Health executive staff. We are often the place that families come to after visiting several daycares and are still not feeling comfortable with a suitable fit.
The facility holds the lowest known teacher-to-child ratios for a full-time learning program in Vancouver at 1:4 maximum. The tuition includes all meals, unlimited snacks, cultural dining out, art & school supplies, outside programs & classes, field trips, tickets, and transportation. Lesson plans incorporate a strong holistic focus on cognitive skill-setting, physical development, cultural development and outdoor activities as often as possible. We also incorporate different themes into our lesson plans and cover detailed subjects such as basic math, geometry, physics, chemistry, astronomy, horticulture, proprioception, emotions, etc. The goal is that your child be prepared for public or private school once they age out of care.
The central principle of the program is that all children have awareness from infancy and it is in their best interests to teach them instead of imprisoning them. We do this by focusing on explaining all things, offering a variety of experiences, and creating a safe and creative space and routine for children to thrive. We also teach emotional regulation so that negative behaviour is guided positively with talking and positive timeouts. Our overall aim is to not simply fill the students with basic knowledge, but to nurture the students into aware, independent, non-reactionary individuals who can communicate well in any setting. One of the five principles also that states that our teachers love and care for the children like their own while in the school's care. |
