I met with this daycare centre / preschool and I find that:

"See the latest supreme court ruling against this daycare provider!

"There will be a permanent order forbidding and restraining and enjoining the respondent from (1) operating or holding herself out as operating a community care facility as defined in the CCALA; and (2), providing or holding herself out as providing care in a community care facility as defined in the CCALA without a licence issued pursuant to s. 11 of the CCALA""

Childcare provider: Ask For Ms. Lin (voicemail Ok)

I obtained services from this daycare centre / preschool and I find that:

"Unlawful daycare and Ms.Lin is such a liar!

I just want to notice you all about this awful daycare. She is such a liar. We joined her daycare with fee is quite high $1.850 cad per month. After around 2.5 months she said with all parents of daycare that she need to move to another place for safe because the house needed to be maintained and she said the new daycare place was in final round of negotiation. She asked for the early payment to support her pay deposit for new place. So me and others parents sent her money to support. But after more than 1 month with twice of changing to temporary places all of parents left this daycare by themselves because we can not let our children in under such condition. All teacher left the daycare as well (I don't know the reason).

When she asked for the early payment. To make sure there is no unexpected thing happen so far I also asked her to send an official email to every parent. And she sent the text message like this (I can not attach the image so please read text)

"Hi Le & Tran,

It appears that we have been approved for the house at 6533 Marguerite Street, and we are receiving the house inspection report this afternoon! We have a barrier in putting the new deposit together at the last-minute for the new house. We sincerely apologize for asking this, but if all or part of next week's tuition payment is available, are you able to send it by this afternoon or today? We are trying to get the lease signed and keys exchanged this afternoon immediately after the house inspection report, so that school can finally be in our proper location starting tomorrow morning.

After 1 day I found a new daycare so I sent a message and email to her for announcement of discontinuing. Because 1 month deposit covers the last month (which our daughter only attended for 10 days), she promised to return our 1 advance 1 month fee back. But after that she kept promising, and delayed returning the fee for many reasons: blank transfer blocking, forgot to transfer, wait for someone to do something bla...bla... And finally we got the text message like this:

"Hi,

I really apologize for the delay in responding. My daughters and I were robbed by an employee who took all our personal and business belongings on our move-out day to extort us for money. When we didn't pay her in time, she organized a meeting with our new Teachers and caused them to quit right after speaking to them.

I am working on a couple things to resolve returning several parents deposits for their last month of care. I am doing this as fast as possible. It has been difficult because the experience left the twins and I homeless with only a purse and the clothes we were wearing, and no computer or work materials. We are also no longer able to access several thousand in owed revenue and materials from the stolen business items. Even our safe and baby photos were taken.

I really apologize to the three of you. I am working as hard and fast as I can to resolve this situation immediately. The Church supports our coalition and is aware of our updated licensing situation. If you decide to bring Anh Thu back before our licensing is complete, there appears to be a lot of community and legal support to do that. For example, the families held a peaceful protest in January by continuing to bring their children to school and several of us were calling/emailing Community Care Licensing about our protest. With our legal help, Vancouver City Council, MP Duclos (Minister of Children and Family Development), and the families in support, we were able to stay open while becoming licensed.

I have had two meetings with Community Care Licensing at the school while in operation including recently last week. They are still ready and willing to license us on their end. They confirmed that they were only doing their legal obligation to their job because we did not license fast enough. They told us to let the lawyers figure out the details out and it can be fine. The senior licensing officer really likes us and wants us to be licensed to operate. She even spoke to the Church directly in detail about planning a long-term CADA there.

We continue to receive many reports of extreme abuse and neglect, as well as complaints about not finding any good care places for years. All other governmental agencies that we have spoken to are in strong support of our coalition. Community Care Licensing is the only barrier and it appears that our community is able to overcome this barrier together.

Tomorrow afternoon would be an ideal time to chat or come by. Would you like to meet at pickups?"

She also told me: "you are free to call police"

Yes. I will call if she doesn't send money back to me within today.

I write this reviews to hope there is no parent meet the same situation like me anymore. I am sure there will have more reports from other parents so far.

P/S: You should remember her name, email, phone and daycare's name to avoid she try to change the name and her personal info."
