Our Facility Managers
Cassandra Courtney completed her Early Childhood Education Certification at North West Community College in 2007-08 and began work in the daycare/preschool field from the day she graduated. In Sept. 2009 she opened the Kid’s Planet Daycare/Preschool with Ghyslaine Courtney. Before graduating from college Cassandra completed a Black Belt program in Jiu-Jitsu and is a certified Jiu-Jitsu instructor. Since then she has developed a Junior Jiu-Jitsu program for children ages 3 to 5. She is a high energy individual with great inter-relational skills with both children and parents. Ghyslaine has had over 25 years experience in Early Childhood and Primary level education. She has both owned and operated daycare, preschool and after school care centers as well as worked within both public and private schools as a teacher at the Junior Kindergarten, Kindergarten and Primary levels. She has developed two curriculums for 3 to 5 year olds, which incorporate “Fun with Phonics” and “Multi-Themed Environments” to help prepare preschool aged children for school entrance. Both Cassandra and Ghyslaine are Bilingual in French and English and offer both languages in the daycare/preschool experience.
