*Tiny Owls Child Care is a teacher-friendly daycare located in Stittsville, offering care during the school year from September until June.
My goal is to provide a happy, healthy, and safe environment for your child to learn, grow and have fun in while you are at work.
A little about me:
I am a loving and devoted wife and mother to 2 wonderful children, a 16-year-old son and a 17-year-old daughter. I received my Bachelor of Education in 2001 and am certified by the Ontario College of Teachers. I have always loved children and have over 20 years of experience working with them in a wide variety of settings such as elementary schools, middle schools, private schools, and a daycare centre. I opened my home daycare in January of 2010 and have enjoyed working with all of the little ones who have come through my door since then. Most of my daycare children are with me for many years, starting when they are babies and only leaving when they go off to preschool/school.
Available Spots:
As of June 2025, all spots are currently full. If you'd like to be added to the waiting list, please feel free to reach out.
Features of my daycare include:
-a large walkout basement area totally dedicated to the daycare- includes a kitchenette, sleeping area, bathroom, and bright, open play area
-indoor/outdoor play (we are located steps away from Stitt Street Park and several walking trails)
-healthy snacks and lunch provided daily (lots of fruits, veggies and whole-grain items)
-crafts, songs, stories, music, dancing, colouring, calendar, self-help skills and many other age-appropriate developmental activities await your child each day
-low ratio daycare (1 caregiver for 3-4 full time children)
-smoke free home
-COVID-19 protocols in place
-CPR/First Aid certified, clean police check, receipts, references upon request
Contact Me:
Please feel free to contact me by email at julia.buckland@rogers.com if you have any questions or would like to arrange a meeting. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my ad. I look forward to meeting you and your child very soon!
* My family and I are all fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and we are seeking other COVID cautious families
* Please note that I am not part of the $10/ day

*We share our home with an Australian shepherd, Lexi, who is on the main floor during daycare hours. Even though our pet does not share the daycare space with us, I feel it is important to let potential families know that there is an animal in my home.
* This is a teacher-friendly daycare and follows a teacher's schedule offering care from September until the end of June. The daycare is closed over March Break, Christmas Break and during the summer.
* We are a COVID cautious daycare - Temperature checks and daily screenings are done at home every morning before a child attends care.
* Please note that I must state that this child care program is not licensed by the Government of Ontario. |
