*Tiny Owls Child Care is a teacher-friendly daycare located in Stittsville, offering full time care during the school year from September until June, and part time care in the summer.
My goal is to provide a happy, healthy, and safe environment where your child can learn, grow and have fun while you are at work.
A little about me:
I am a loving and devoted wife and mother to 2 wonderful children, a 17-year-old son and an 18-year-old daughter. I received my Bachelor of Education in 2001 and am certified by the Ontario College of Teachers. I have always loved children and have over 20 years of experience working with them in a wide variety of settings, such as elementary schools, middle schools, private schools, and a daycare centre. I opened my home daycare in January of 2010 and have enjoyed working with all of the little ones who have come through my door since then. Most of my daycare children are with me for many years, starting when they are babies and only leaving when they go off to preschool/school.
Available spots:
One full time spot in September 2026 for a child between the ages of 16 and 20 months, with a phase-in period in August.
What makes Tiny Owls Child Care special:
- Dedicated, bright walkout basement daycare space with kitchenette
- Each child has their own room for peaceful naps with camera monitoring
- Steps away from Stitt Street Park and several walking trails
- Healthy snacks and lunch provided daily (lots of fruits, veggies and whole-grain items)
- Engaging daily activities: crafts, songs, stories, music, singing, dancing, colouring, calendar, nature walks, and self-help skills
- Low ratio daycare (1:3-4) for personalized attention
- Smoke-free home
- Daily health screening
- Police check, receipts, and excellent references available

- We have a small dog, Ollie, who stays on the main floor during daycare hours. While he is not in the daycare space, I like families to be aware that there is a pet in our home.
- Teacher-friendly schedule: full time care September-June, with part time care on Tuesdays & Wednesdays in July & August. Closed for March Break, Christmas Break and during the summer.
- Health-conscious environment: daily at-home screenings, including temperature checks, are completed before arrival.
- This child care program is not licensed by the Government of Ontario. |
