I am a mother of two children my son is 17 years old and my daughter is 14 years old. I have been taking care of children for about 12 years. my children did benefit from this choice as well as other children. Most of the children i have cared for has been long term, I offer home cooked meals, healthy snacks , lots of love from my family towards the children that come to our home, i celebrate most of the holidays, and birthday time for each of them so they can celebrate with their friends at our house. I have lots of books, toys and we do crafts, we have outside play time weather permitting. I like to keep small amount of children as that way they don't feel ignored.
I have a playground just around the corner from the house, but we have a huge backyard to run and play. I love to give the children picnics outside in the nice weather.
I love teaching the children new things it is so exciting to watch them and experience the amazement of something new. I don't have a set schedule that i follow as i like to see how the children are that day before i make any serious plans.
I like to use a daily journal (that i supply for each family) for each one of the families as a means of communication, i find this works for both of us to know what is going on when the child/children are with the other and we can keep track of hours, holidays so there is no confusion. I like to take pictures of the children so you parents can see the things we do while you are working. I give a copy for you to keep . I also don't post them on the internet.
I am flexible with my hours with notice. I only charge for days worked , i am a firm believer that if we respect each other we will have a great business relationship as i have with my other families. I look forward to working with you and your child.
