We recently moved to a 2.5 acre hobby farm in Hespeler just at the border of Cambridge, Kitchener and Guelph. I'm in the process of updating my listing information and pictures. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. We now have a very large outdoor play area which will include multiple opportunities for playing, climbing and exploring nature. We live right beside the speed river and walking trails. So far we have gotten a large outdoor playground set up and many more things to come. We currently have chickens and goats plus there will be other animals in the future as well as several fruit trees, large vegetable gardens and flower gardens. The children have already been enjoying the large flower gardens and picking flowers and making crafts with them
I offer additional services such as early morning, evening, weekend and overnight care at an additional but affordable rate.
Regular Rates:
0-4 years-$50 per day
School age-$25 for before and/or after school care and $50 for full days
I'm a mother of 2, ages 19 and 21. I've been doing home child care for 17 years. *I was with the region for 15 years but am no longer because it was more important to me that the children got to have experiences with the animals and exploring. I am however a foster parent and they do much more thorough background checks and house checks. First aid training is also kept up to date and they actually have you do car seat training.
Some of the things we do here :)
All year:
*We go for walks everyday
* School age children get the bus to and from Silverheights school
*We go to the park, splash pad and the library often.
*I have a large fenced backyard, climbers, slides, ride on toys and more.
*I provide healthy meals and snacks.
*We have music time, do lots of arts and craft, baking and also do workbooks to work on reading, writing and math.
*We have loads of books, puzzle and games.
*Sensory bins with coloured rice and noodles and water play
After school and during the summer:
*We participate in the summer reading program at the library.
*Homework help when needed.
*We work on the Canadian Curriculum workbooks for at least 15 minutes each day.
*NEW stating summer 2014 the older children will be learning sewing, crocheting, knitting, baking and woodwooking since home economics is no longer offered at school |
