At Mrs. Dolling's licensed family daycare, the first thing people often say when they enter, is how at ease and how relaxed and friendly the daycare is. I have been at this location for almost eighteen years. I am very well known by Parkcrest school,I am a long standing member with the YMCA-Child care resource and referral center. I have been licensed for seventeen years and was licensed not required for five years prior.I teach children about courtesy and respect for other's, help others and to be kind to one another. Here, everyone is our friend. I offer a safe, warm, friendly, caring and nurturing environment. Many children that have come to my daycare have stayed for many years, a few have been with me from age two or three all the way up to the start of high school. Multiculturalism is encouraged here. We love all nationalities. I have a good early learning program in place for the younger children as well as a practice reading program for the older school age children, where they get to read to the younger children. This greatly encourages literacy. I now offer basic French for fun daily along with showing and singing the alphabet letters, then we do all the letter sounds.I am currently writing my first children's book and can't wait to read it to the children.
I also have complete criminal record check, as well as everyone in my family, I have child emergency first aid and CPR. Food safe, which I include all the healthy nutritional snacks and two meals for the day.I have previous experience in the health care field as a nurse, and teach child the importance of regular hand washing and covering their mouth with their arm when coughing and sneezing. I also teach the children about healthy choices and good eating habits. We have play- circle time- crafts- daily calender-weather, as well as daily walks and outdoor play.
