I am a loving mother of 2 (3 year old & 2 month old). After having my son 3 years ago I decided not to return back to my job as a dental hygienist as I was frustrated by the lack of high quality childcare available and I was especially frustrated with the food/meals provided. My focus is to provide high quality, organic childcare to a small group of children. I think it is essential to keep the number of children very small to be able to provide exceptional childcare. The children that I have had the pleasure to care for and watch grow into beautiful young toddlers for almost 2 years are moving to another city and I am now in search of 1 or 2 children to join our fun!
I offer a non-smoking home and I use non-toxic and all natural cleaners.
I focus on exceptional eating/meals! We do not eat processed food and/or foods that contain chemicals, preservatives, etc. All meat served is free-range, organic, antibiotic & hormone free. I serve only high fiber & whole grain products - mutligrain/flax pasta, Kamut pasta, quinoa, 12 grain bread, etc. We eat TONS of fruits and vegetables. All meals are home cooked (and steamed whenever possible) to retain the maximum nutritional benefit of the food. We do occasionally have treats, but they are always homemade & naturally sweetened.
We are BUSY BUSY BUSY! We do arts and crafts, storytime, music/dancing, free play (unstructured play) with toys, puzzles and much more. Outdoor play including sand/water table, nature hikes, park, making bubbles, sidewalk chalk, playing in the snow!!!! We do outings such as local splashpad, Skeddadles play gym, library, Early Years Center, and occasional day trips such as the zoo, butterfly conservatory, etc!
I also have a dedicated animal themed nursery room that in our finished basement. This room is set-up as a children's nursery/bedroom and is used for only this purpose...this will be your child's own "bedroom" away from home! A "daily report" sheet is provided daily so you are aware of your childs day!!
