Let me introduce myself. I am a 31 year old mother, and a nonsmoker. Presently we do not have any pets. I can provide a criminal background check and first aid/cpr certification. I also have a background in personal support type work and completed two years out of a four year Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I am presently employed full time in the financial services industry but have decided that my calling is elsewhere; providing care to children. This is a well thought, well planned career move, not just a passing whim, and I can assure you that I am intending to do this as a career long term.
At the present time I am just beginning to set up my child care business, and the area that the children will be in is currently under construction. My goal is to be opening by May. How many hours a week would you be looking for? I will have openings for full time and part time, part time being at least 3 full days per week. I will be open Monday through Friday from 7am until 6pm, but am flexible in those time frames to accomodate my clients' schedules.
My rates for children over 1 year of age are as follows: $35 for a full day, $25 for half days (4 hours or less), and additional hours at $5/hour/child. I do accept infants under 12 months, rate to be discussed at interview based on hours required. This includes home cooked lunch and two scheduled snacks (midmorning and mid afternoon), planned activites, crafts and outdoor play (weather permitting). Any special foods that your children may require, such as baby foods or formulas, are not included. Based on my own personal experience, these are less than or equal to the average rates for in home child care providers. I also offer receipts and am willing to accept child care subsidy.
