I have moved so I could dedicate my lower level for my home daycare.I have fenced in my back yard, and install an interconnected smoke detection system. I am licensed. I have my first aid, and my E.C.E. My facility is an Emergent Curriculum based. Emergent curriculum essentially means a curriculum that develops (or emerges) based on the children's interests and passions. Children thrive when their interests are captured, and held, and the way to do this is to make the subject matter relevant to them. I begin with a broad, general topic or theme for the month, and the curriculum develops from how the the children interact with the content. Through careful observation, documentation, flexibility, and creative brainstorming, I model my curriculum according to the developmental level and interests of the children. Once I see an interest "emerging", I make sure I have identified it, and begin brainstorming different ways for the children to study that topic in depth. While doing this, I make sure fundamental building blocks of education are learned and utilized, such as numbers, shapes and color identification, as well as practical based studies (i.e. coordination, social dynamics, etc). Daycare with an education..My hours are7 :00 am to 5:oo pm, my rate is thirty five dollars a day,I provide one snack. I currently have spots available, please contact if you have any questions.
