Toddler Haven ~ Family Child Care and Home Preschool provides an extended family atmosphere that welcomes reason, exploration, curiosity, and imagination.
A well established private day home that has provided families quality child care service since 1987. We include a full home based preschool curriculum designed to provide age appropriate activities to young children within a small group ratio. Our curriculum is geared towards Pre-K Framework for children 3-5 years of age and is easily adaptable for a mixed age group to include younger toddlers/siblings wishing to join in.
DAYHOME
I strive in everyway to provide a comfortable, nurturing extended family atmosphere where the children can develop emotionally, physically and intellectually while socializing in a small group setting.
Fees start at $30.00 per day and up ~ include meals/snacks; field trips; supplies/basic needs as agreed upon (diapers, creams, etc) activities; and infant/toddler/preschool program.
PRESCHOOL
Preschool subjects/projects are incorporated into weekly/monthly themes based on active play and exploration that include ideas inspired by the likes and interests of the children.
We will explore learning adventures that focus on letters, shapes, color and number recognition, and introduction to Spanish, reading readiness, circle time, supervised computer time, free play, arts and crafts, puzzles, math/science, music/singing, imaginative play, educational toys, sensory experiences and seasonal activities
CAREGIVER/CHILD RATIO ~ DON'T BE FOOLED
In Alberta a private family dayhome must follow the caregiver/child ratio of 1:6 per day for all children under the age of 12 with no more than 3 under the age of 2 ~ this must include the providers own children/drop-ins/before and after school. This ratio is not dependate on the number of adults present in the home ~ 2 adults 2:6 ratio ~ 3 adults 3:6 ratio etc....
As a dedicated care provider I am a strong advocate for these regulations to provide each child individual attention.
