University educated, mature mother of 2 boys (ages 1 year & 9 years old) opening our home to children ages 1 year to 12 years old. I have been working as a counselor at a social service agency for 10 years & have many transferable skills/qualities to offer children in a family daycare environment.
I am offering a structured yet flexible schedule which consists of free play, learning circle, creative activities, quiet / nap time, active indoor / outdoor play (depending on weather) and group activities. We will be visiting playgroups, parks & the local library on Fridays. Nutritious breakfast, lunch & snacks (a.m. & p.m.) will be provided.
Current availability for childcare is after school Monday to Friday (for St Pius X & Prince Charles P.S.), all day Friday, occasional Friday/Saturday overnight care and casual/temporary care on Saturdays. Our family has 4 child-friendly pets. We have a dog (Daisy - Shih-tzu), a lion-head rabbit (Shaggy) and 2 pet rats (Hazel & Vanilla).
