There's a cozy, full time spot available for a child, aged 2 or older as of enrollment in September, at Daisy's House Home Daycare located in Westmount.
We operate on the school year calendar (beginning in late August through to the end of June each year) - perfect for children of teachers.
The children enjoy their days at play in a smoke free and pet free environment, complete with cheery, main floor playroom as well as lower level play space where they spread their wings on rainy or extremely cold winter days.
I'm in compliance with Bill 10, issue receipts,have up to date CPR and First Aid, Police Check, have three grown children, four grandchildren and have an ECE diploma as well as 35 years of experience in home childcare and related community interests.
The fully fenced and gated yard includes a large deck with both sunny and shady areas. Our choo choo wagon is a common site in our neighbourhood as we head to the nearby park and a nature area to explore the wonders of the outdoors.
We follow a loosely based, flexible schedule each day, as we explore and expand on the interests of the children. We use a myriad of arts and crafts materials and are well stocked with age appropriate toys, dress up clothes, musical instruments and sensory activities.
We don't take ourselves too seriously as we enjoy dancing, singing, giggling, imaginative play and learning together.
My focuses are two fold. I hope during the time that each child is with us, to help instill a life long enthusiasm and thirst for learning. One of the ways that we accomplish this is to incorporate my love of children's literature into many aspects of their day.
The other focus is that of social maturity. We speak to each in kind,positive ways and learn to respect each other's space and needs. It's gratifying to see the children grow by leaps and bounds in their abilities.

I currently have 1 full-time opening for teachers' children or those whose positions follow the holidays and breaks of the school calendar. The opening begins in late August, allowing teachers time to prepare for classes. |
