I am a proud stay at home mother of one who respects how hard it is to find great daycare services and is therefore extending my home and services to provide the best care possible for your child.
On top of my love for children I am an avid animals rights activist and nature lover. I volunteer at the Aspen Valley Wildlife Center the OSPCA and locally at the Procyon Wildlife Center. I am also a Le Leche League member and volunteer. I am CPR Certified, additionally trained if infant/toddler Choking and First Aid.
I am happy to newly take refuge in a beautiful century farm home nestled between rolling hills, farmlands and forest. Located right on HWY 27 we are easy to find and perfect for commuters.
Daycare Safari offers a traditional home daycare style program combined with nature and safari themed decor, toys, activities and much much more. Children will have the opportunity to interact with a wide range real domesticated animals including Dogs, Ferrets, Lizards and Fish as well as have the chance to see animals, insects, reptiles & birds in their natural habitat. Children will learn about our environment with hands on activities both indoor and outdoors.
On top of our animals at Daycare Safari, in “Safari Corner” you will find lot’s of fun learning toys, books, and puzzles. Everyday we will have “Creative Time” at our handmade craft table and chairs. Outside the children have an acre of fenced property surrounded by forest to explore. We will have regular outdoor time and walks to learn about the environment.
At Daycare Safari we strive to eat healthy balanced and nutritious meals and snacks while respecting nature. That means we only eat and serve naturally raised organic meats dairy & eggs. Where possible all fruits and vegetables are also organic if not right from our very own gardens! All meals are prepared from scratch and are homemade with love.
Before and After care children will be picked up and dropped off right at the end of the driveway for the Cookstown Central Public School and St. Paul's Catholic School They will enjoy a healthy snack in the afternoon and will have "Group Play Time" consisting of age appropriate activities, toys, crafts, books and puzzles until their parents arrive.
