New from Cambridge,On
Hi all,
I've been reading here all day, and have seen some great advice.
I've been thinking about opening my own homedaycare. I've worked as a nanny, and have had a hard time finding a new nanny position.
I still have to convince my husband, but want to get all my facts straight first. Show him it can be a good thing.:D
I have a 2 year old daughter myself, who would love to have some friends to play with every day.
Can't wait to delve in some more, and learn from your experience.

Welcome - I was born and raised in Cambridge - miss it terribly somedays!
Making an informed decision in entering this aspect of the field is a key to less stress and an easier transition so you are off to a good start :)

Welcome to the site. Start slowly and bring in one child at a time and learn as you go and you'll be fine. Good luck!

Thanks ladies. I moved here 11 years ago. I've worked in a centre daycare for the past 7 years, until I had my girl. And then they wanted me to come work a 3 way split shift, so my dd would have had to be in care for 12 hours. I was not doing that.
I definitely want to start slowly, and probably will only do 3 kids at a time. We'll see if I want to go to more later on.
