Fingers crossed!
Had another interview. I really need to fill a space for financial reasons!
The interview went great! They were happy with everything. Called later to inquire about the stat holidays and why did they need to pay for them? Sigh. I did my best to explain and they seemed to understand, which was great! Then they called again, lol! This time to ask about vacation time and why they need to pay when they take vacation. Gah! At this point, I almost caved and was about to tell them they didn't need to pay for their vacation time, even though that's what my handbook says. But I held out. I said, I have to charge for vacation time because I am essentially holding that space while the child is gone. Anyhow, they said they would get back to me. I have my fingers crossed that they won't say no based on that one policy, when they loved everything else. I am hopeful!

Good luck! If she loves your program that much then little things like paying for vacay and stats won't matter. And if they do matter that much to her, she's not the right client for you.

They said yes! Ack I'm so thrilled!!! Not just to have another client, which is fantastic, but also because instead of giving in I stood up for myself and what I deserve, and they agreed! Happy dance over here. :D

Love hearing stories that there are families that will accept the rules and that we don't need to bend for everyone that comes along. Finally broke down and advertised my openings coming up - three leaving by September. Filling them for Sept so I can enjoy a light summer which I haven't had in a long time. Then again I have listed actual open dates so if someone needs it I would accept and just spend the extra money on me - how cool would that be.
