Ugh! Complete gong show! :(

Pick up time, client comes to pick up dcg. My own kids were just running wild ( 18mths & 2.5yrs) while I was trying to give him a run down of dcg's day. I paused at one point and sternly told them to settle down. This behaviour is highly unusual for them. Anyway, long story short, it was barely 2 minutes into pick up when they both try to climb a chair in the playroom and go crash down on the floor. Both burst into hysterical tears and I had go to pick up the broken chair and try to comfort them. All in front of the client. Siiiiiigh. What a way to end a busy week. :( I feel very incompetent right now. Not to mention completely embarrassed. Client seemed understanding but I can't help but wonder if he thinks I'm a total failure!
