Thinking of putting up a FB page closed to my clients and maybe their family (grandparents etc) only. A way to communicate fun little things that the kids do every day. A nice way to show pictures of that handpainting activity, or the new way they've discovered to go down the slide.

Does anyone have any experiance with this? What is the response from parents? Any one worried about pics on facebook... security... what happens if a client is terminated etc.

I have a fb page exculsive to my current clients only. i had them sign a form saying that they were ok with me posting pics and also had them agree to only tagging photos with only their child in it. if not i can remove the tag). I actually opened a whole separate account and made it unsearchable. i did not open it to other family members and once clients are no longer in care they are removed from my "friends"

I have a FB page but it is 'public' as it is more for 'advertizing' verse parent communication and any photos shared on it I have written consent on file for .... my business website has a 'members only page' that is password protected and I can manage the passwords and access when clients leave and so forth ... this is where I share anything private with clients like my newsletter, calendar, photo documentation of the entire group and so forth and again they sign permission for it to be 'shared' in that manner cause again while it is private and password protected it is still the 'internet' and nothing is truly private or secure on here to the savvy hacker :(

I know you can have 'closed groups' on FB but I am not sure how inviting or deleting membership works on them for clients who 'leave' your program ... but most of FB has options where you can 'block' certain people from seeing things so if you cannot 'delete' someone from a group unless they choose to leave it I imagine there is someway you could always just 'block' them from seeing anything via the privacy settings?

I have one!! It's where I post our theme days and all pictures/videos for the parents & grandparents to see the fun! It's by MY invitation only closed group. Only those in the group can comment and see the comments. It's been great for us!
