Help!! My new dcg can CRY

Wow!!! My new dcg 12 months old has been here for 2/12 days now and has pretty much cried none stop:crying::crying: . It's driving us all crazy but I don't know how to stop her, I have tried everything! I did transition care in December and she cried a little but nothing like this. Also I have had fussy ones before but this is something else. Her cry is piercing and it's making all the other children super cranky. ;) Any ideas, as even putting her in the carrier and taking her with me everywhere makes no difference - and having a screaming baby strapped to your chest is no fun!

lol...sorry don't mean to laugh. Its just nice to know someone else has this problem too. my dcg (20months) has been here since Dec 10 and only now has calmed down a little. She still cry's/screams a lot, but not as much. My husband and oldest son can not handle her crying.

I am just letting her cry now. Nothing I have tried has worked. You just need to wait it out.

One thing I have noticed over my years is that if a child was doing pretty well in the transition visits when on her own and than takes a 'nose dive' to screaming once they are in the program it is often because the introduction to group care germs has resulted in a ware and tear on their immunity and they are getting sick with something and just feel like crap combined with the stress of the new environment it just gets overwhelming ~ kids like that who were doing well and regress they usually end up having an ear infection or something not so glaringly obvious at first and that is the reason for the flip to the unhappiness ... once we figure that out and they get treatment and feeling better they quickly return to adjusting back into the program again .... hoping that is the case here ~ not that you want them to be sick but that it means there is a quick fix around the corner that if she can get treatment for whatever is causing the pain/screaming than she can return to doing better for you!
