Hello,
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on ways to access supplies for free/minimal charge?
Do you know of any resources available that are free to use in your community?
Or any other activities that are free/low cost?
Thanks for any tips!!

Where are you located Samantha?
I know for those of us in Ontario communities have Ontario Early Years Centres ~ usually one 'main branch' and than several smaller satellite ones depending on the size and they tend to have lots of resources for home childcare providers and parents ... ours has a toy lending library for free ~ have to pay a onetime membership fee of $25, resource lending library (this has kits for the program around certain topics or developmental milestone supports, resource books on early childhood education and care, felt board stories, puppets, children's books) again for a separate membership fee ~ think this one is annual, they have a work room with a laminator and dye cutting machine that you can use as a member or for a fee ~ laminating costs extra for everyone but cheaper than Staples or Scholars. They also offer professional development workshops and seminars on a wide variety of top from parenting tips and tools for dealing with certain stages of development to personality traits to programming tips and tools for providing a wide range of activities and so forth. You can also access regular 'play dates' in the community through these for free as well so both at their main locations as well as satellite playgroups run out of churches, seniors programs or schools with room and so forth.
In addition the local library often offers free programs for children as well as even courses on things like business accounting, using computer programs like Excel or Word or Quickbooks and other topics that might help with the development of your business and these are often free or very low cost.
