Super cranky baby!
So my 14 month dcg has been super cranky all week, constant unconsolable crying, but no aparant illness. I have mentioned it everyday to parents and only today did they let me know she is on steroids and that may be affecting her mood (hers and everyone else's) my question is this, what would you do, she isn't sick but she is bothering all the others with the constant crying, so now everyone else is cranky and wants cuddles too - this would be ok I am quite happy to cuddle all day but every time someone else comes near me dcg starts screaming! (also mum never said how long she is on steroids)

My rule is if a child needs more attention then I am able to provide while still looking after the other children then they should be at home. I have 5 full time daycare children and if one of them needs to be held all day then they have to go home. That is not fair to the other children.

i was wondering that too in the sense that if she needs steriods then she is sick or injured in some way and first this family needs to level with you so you know what you are dealing with and why.

She was given steroids from the asthma clinic this week (Monday) she is not sick, or in pain just very very moody. I am aware of why she got the steroids and I think they just didn't think it was important to mention as I do not have to give them and she isn't ill.

steroids can really have a strong effect on moods. Poor little one and poor you. I agree with Crayola, a one of day of needing extra tlc is one thing but all week, then she should be home with parent.
