Seriously Lady?

So I got a call yesterday from a woman looking (demanding should I say) care.

First thing she asks when I answer the phone is..."Are you a babysitter" Ugh. Strike 1 lady. When I responded with "No, I am a home daycare provider" she cuts me off and says "I need you to watch my child from 10:00am until 9:00pm 1 week a month.

I told her that I only accept full time enrollment and I close at 5:45pm. Her response...."What?.. .You are a home daycare provider (at least she didn't make the mistake of calling me a 'babysitter' again). You are at home...you HAVE to take extended care. All home daycare providers should work whenever I need them to be open for"

.."Um, no I don't. I set my own hours, I am my own boss. I chose to close at 5:45. Those are my hours". She hangs up upon hearing this,.

Really?? Are people that self absorbed and clueless. I was fuming at first, but seriously, had a good laugh about it afterwards!

I would walk away so dumbfounded from that phone call. Sounds like some wealthy, entitled snob who grew up raised by nannies who were on call 24/7. Sheesh!!!

And before I get jumped with the "well, I got raised by nannies, and I'm just fine" lol, you know very well that I am not referring to you! We all know the type! Think Nanny Diaries.

Wow. No words. Can you imagine dealing with that lady every day? I send a prayer along for whomever she ends up contracting!

Holy cow! I'm sure she wouldn't like being told to work 11 hour days!

Just wow...what the heck is wrong with ppl? Whether she is looking for a babysitter, a home daycare or a nanny, that is just no way to talk to ANYONE. Grrrrr....
