Home-Based Childcare Providers Needed - Preschooler Physical Activity Study

Researchers with the University of Western Ontario will be conducting research to determine the influence of the childcare environment on preschoolers’ physical activity behaviours. This study will involve a full day assessment of the childcare environment in addition to the children having to wear motion sensors (accelerometers) for one full week during childcare hours only.

If you are interested in participating in this research and can answer YES to the following 3 questions, the research team would like to hear from you:

• Are you a home-based childcare provider who provides care for children aged 2.5-5 years?
• Are you willing to have two female researchers from UWO enter your childcare facility?
• Are you interested in assisting with research that aims to better support physical activity among preschoolers?
