Summer rules
So for the summer I have 3 kids committed to 2 days a week and I have 2 kids committed to 3 days a week.
Should I charge if they don't show one day or for sick days? The summer is short and I am holding those days for them.
What do you all think?

Yes, charge for those days even if they don't come or are sick.

I just made this small little note to give parents. Can you tell me if it sounds okay and if I'm missing anything.Summer Rules 2016
*Price for summer days is $40.00 for 1st child and $35.00 for 2nd child (non-negotiable).
Price includes: hot lunch and snacks, activities, park time etc.
*3 days have been held for your children so 3 days are paid each week regardless if they attend or not. *please note that you are paying for the spot and not their attendance. No make-up days either.
*Summer pick-up is the latest 5:30. Please note that the days are long and the kids start to get restless after 5:00 so please respect pick-up time.

For pick up times I would put something about being here for your closing at 5:30 as your have family commitments afterwards. It seems more legitimate than restless kids...your job is to keep the kids occupied until pick up so telling them their kids are restless prior to pick up can be turned against you by 'certain' parents. If you close at 5:30 they have to be there by 5:30. Period. If you want to give a reason make them hear that being late means you risk missing planned family time which is not acceptable.
Why are there no make up days? If you have a solid reason (meeting ratios etc) it might be worth laying that out now so you only have to remind them later when they try to swap days!
