Thankfully we live in the country so we don't have to see them and there are about 10 acres between our houses. The more I think about this, the more hesitant I am to take them. I will be honest with them because I don't want bad relations with them but regardless of their reasoning, I think I will be paranoid every time one of their children gets a bump. As all you know, children get hurt and so do mine at home and when they were in daycare. I don't need to worry about a lawsuit with every bump and scrap.
Thanks for helping me follow my intuition ladies.

Uh yes, that is strange and none of their business unless they plan on suing you sometime very soon. Maybe they want to fall on your property and need to know how much they can tell their lawyer to put on the lawsuit? Pass these people by and quick!

Run away...quickly :) its not worth the hassle or the time....the right parents and children eventually will come to you. Hang in there.

I think I know those couple:) He asked me the same question. I told him the insurance is to cover me and it has nothing to do with them. It would put me in a difficult situation if I didn't have it etc. So they should not worry about it.
He also asked me when I'm planning to have kid. His wife told him off and she said sorry. I gave him his answer though.
I told them my unreasonable fee :) which I know they can not afford to pay
Wierdos!

No way in HELL. If that is their first concern then that is a big red flag to me. One, it says right off the bat they don't ever intend to trust you. And two, it says they have the potential to sue you over any little thing.
I don't like people like this. What they are really doing is passively aggressively bullying you with the fear that they "will sue you if needed so you better take good care of my kid".
Nope, nadda, NEXT!

For a couple reasons, I would pass on this family.
I try really hard not to work with family, friends or even acquaintances. Can be hard sometimes, because it seems so easy. But it rarely ends well.
And I would also be concerned about the insistence on the insurance info. I can understand asking a couple of questions, and MAYBE wanting to see it in person (although that's pushing it). But asking for a COPY? Nuh-uh, buddy!!
