I know it's not the idea situation and I'm not 100% sure as I've never had this happen before either but if she's quiet in the bedroom all alone and content I'd leave her up there and just quietly check on her every 15min or so....
I wouldn't moe her into the main living "open" space for another 2-3 days....if this is what she likes then so be it. I know it's odd but.....each kid is different.
re: keeping the others awake.....well it's going to be a hell of a week so stock up on your coffee, advil and wine for later on tonight. LOL

I agree with Mamma_Mia. For today, I would probably allow it. Check on her often and give her the option of cuddles with you or getting out to join the others. She sounds really overwhelmed? Has she been without mom before or socialized with other children? It doesnt sounds like she has much. Makes the transition very difficult. Good Luck!

I don't think she's been without mom at all before last week. Mom even apologized for that very thing.
I wonder how much it's the cold and how much is separation anxiety.
She's back upstairs. It's the only way she seems content. :(

Aw, poor thing... and the baby, too! :(
I would leave her where she is happiest for now. If that means in the playpen by herself, then so be it.
Once she is over this cold, and you know that she is feeling better, I would start to transition her in with everyone else.
