One other thing, fluid buildup in the ears is the kind that eventually requires tubes to be inserted for drainage and the parents don't want to get to that point. I had two daughters who came close to that. But that's not an infection so there wouldn't be a fever. It's an entirely different thing that requires decongestant because the tubes in the ears are congested due to virus.
We can't possibly see that, only a doctor can diagnose it. It isn't the parents fault at all but it is something that should be checked. Bad balance is a vertigo/inner ear problem or it's just plain clumsiness, but a doctor's visit will confirm. I found when my children were having a growth spurt they became very clumsy. Heck, I'm clumsy when I'm tired! But I don't fall over I just drop stuff, ha!
