If she does say anything or you feel the need to offer some explanations just tell her that you put the start time as the time you would be at your desk if you worked in an office. Regardless of what time you actually arrive at work you are free to sit in the staff room and read the paper, eat breakfast, go the bathroom, freshen your make up whatever you need to do to be ready to put in a full days work. She should be able to identify with it when put into workplace terms. Therefore up until 6:30 you are free to be getting dressed, making a final trip to pee, sipping a relaxing cup of coffee and reading the last section of the newspaper, etc. Why should you have to leave your last piece of toast to get cold while you welcome them to your house.

Burn out is such an issue. The most important thing I've learned is to know my limits. I can't do past 5:30 anymore. As a matter of fact, I won't take anyone after 5:15 so I'm sure I won't have kids past 5:30. If we burn out we're no good to anyone!
And it's tempting. You have an interview and someone offers you an extra 5.00 to stay open half an hour later or an extra 10 to open early, but it's so not worth it!
My sanity is priceless!

Same as others, I dont unlock my door (seperate entrance) until 7am sharp. Even once a 5 minutes earlier pissed me off so now, I see them wait outside the door sometimes hahaha
