Even vaccinated kids with immune-compromising conditions could be vulnerable to diseases that unvaccinated children could get. That's why I think that should be disclosed.
Also, if there is an outbreak of a disease the caregiver may have to close for a while. Unfortunately there is not conclusive research about this matter and currently parents decisions to vax or not vax is based in their believes and the best logic they can get from the information available. I agree that provider's family personal information should be keep private. I also think that she has the right to choose whatever she thinks is best for their family, but that right goes both ways.
I vax'ed my ds because of the info I was given, by his medical team as he was a premie..but my child my choice. As to whether dck's are vax'ed don't ask don't tell. I have the same policy as judy (in fact she shared hers with me and I adapted it :)
If vaccinations are so great then the fact a non -vaxed child might catch something it means they will be excluded due to illness but the other kids will be fine as they should be protected. As far as things such as chicken pox go and the effectiveness of the vaccines well they can pick it up anywhere and doubt the risk is that much greater when the two groups are in care together which they will be at a daycare centre or school.
