Ok thank you so very much. One of my parents pulled the "I am a nurse" card and that made it hard to fight back. She even tried to get out of paying me for the day. I needed to firm up my back bone as my sickness policy is very clear and she signed it. She even mentioned that her school and previous daycares allowed fevers. She claims it is her child's way of fighting off infection. Thanks for listening and the help.
Well technically she is right ..... A fever is the bodies natural way of fighting off a virus and you actually aren't supposed to medicate a low grade fever because you are interfering with the bodies natural defence .... You only medicate high fevers (over 103 I think) because you dont want to risk a febrile seizure. But a fever is a sign that something is brewing so they should not be at daycare just the same.

Yes definitely, if he has infection he shouldn't be at daycare. My policy is over 100 they go home. I never have had to send anyone home with just a fever. Usually there are other symptoms as well.
