I must say my dcps are not interested in anything !!! Christmas party , valentines party !! We have been doing crafts for dck to give to dcp . But not one family thought to do anything !!
I'm teaching a preschool course here , unofficially, and have taught most of my two yr olds their colors , ect and the only family I hear any positive feedback is my new family , I'm charging them a lot more than the others ( live and learn ) and have them signed with a pretty strict contract !!
Everyone else I'm beginning to wonder if because I wasn't charging the higher end price for my area ? Or they are just not into anything ??! It's frustrating !!!
My dd handed out valentines to all the other kids as well as a party and crafts and treat bag !!!

My daycare parents are usually very good. I didn't request or expect treats to be brought. They were told several times we were doing cards. Dollar store quality would suffice. Lesson learned-I will have extra cards on hand. I didn't realize she didn't have them until we started circle-I just assumed they were in her bag. All the other parents brought cards/treats for the group, and included myself and my own schoolage kids too. Very thoughtful, but unnecessary.
I had all kinds of cards/treats/activities that went into the loot bags that I provided for them, so it kind of distracted her later when she saw the bags.
We did lots of fun stuff with pink bubbles in the sensory bin/pink food colouring spray bottles in the snow/made and decorated homemade heart cookies/did a choc. heart scavenger hunt/valentines art/valentines books and songs, so I hope that made up for it.
