Spots :-(

Ok thanks so much! We were in Cuba and like I said 2 weeks of being in the sand for hours every day. She was sitting in it, digging holes to sit in and rolling in it lol. She had to shower twice a day to remove boatloads of sand that was ingrained in her lol. We do have some afterbite. Will try a bit...she isn't really too bothered by the spots, they are under her clothes so she isn't really scratching them open. Thanks so much!

If it does end up being HFM or something like that then we luck out in only having one little DCG girl that joins us now, and today is her last day until next Wednesday so hopefully by then everything has cleared!

Doesn't HFM diesase include white spots inside the mouth and sponts on soles of feet and palms of hands. Wouldn't be heat rash as that is an all-over prickley rash.

When we were in Honduras, I was scratching my ankles a lot. They were sand fly bites, and they brought me lime slices to rub on the bites. It totally helped.

Yup, the only reason I thought that was because the last child here who had HFM, didn't have any in his mouth or on his hands and feet. Wrists and face though. These were the ones I saw first. This child drooled all day long so at first I thought it was from that, then he bent over one day, I could see under his shirt and they were all up his back too, and so I checked him all over and they were on his bum and legs too.

If the OP's spots aren't crusty, though, it might not be HFM.

Definitely not crusty, they all look exactly like small mosquito bites, thats what was confusing me, even a few days later still small, perfectly round spots! But your post did make me realize that some kids may present a common illness in a very different way. Meaning I can't just rely on Dr. GOOGLE to diagnose for me :-)

I had never heard of sand fleas... not enough sunny beaches for me, I guess. lol but it is maybe the most likely, from what I understand, a bite from an animal flea can take a couple of days to get red and itchy.
