Yep is it ever gonna suck for these people when the inspectors start dropping fines...I am sure they will want to set an "example" and I wouldn't be surprised if they come on strong at first.
On another note though, although there are some who blatantly ignore the law there are others who are just unaware, and although that isn't an excuse, I do feel bad for them because we are in a profession where we are so isolated and there arent a lot of ways to reach out to these people...

There are a lot of providers who are choosing to ignore this law. It burns me up. I could also take it 3 or 4 more children easily. I chose to follow the rules. I may not agree with them, but that is not an excuse. Would any of you turn in a fellow provider for breaking the law. I'm tempted. I would definitely do it If I felt the provider was hoarding a kiddie warehouse type of situation.

I try to educate the parents that come for an interview as many of them haven't heard of this bill either. I tell them to beware of where they send their children as providers breaking the law could be shut down any time. The town over from me had a daycare shut down a few weeks ago, and the parents were called during the day to pick up their children. They were left scrambling to find care. Educating parents looking for dc helps to spread the word.
