I know of a couple of hcps who have uniforms. T-shirts with the daycare logo. I haven't gone that far. Jeans and t-shirt for me. Of course most of my shirts have at least one spot of paint on them.

The last centre I worked in made us wear shirts with a logo and our name. I still have the 4 I paid for so I wear them lol. I never wear them outside though because they're tacky IMO. They come in handy for when we do our really messy stuff!!
I used to work with a lady who always wore a scrub sweater over top of her shirt. I thought that was smart!
I went to a course on marketing your daycare and one of the things the instructor said was that she's heard clients complain how previous daycare providers wore scrubs. They didn't like it because it looks like pj's.
Personally I wear jeans or leggings and a t-shirt or shirt. Not too dressy but not too sloppy either. I take into consideration what we're doing that day whether it's painting or going on a field trip. I probably dress a little better for an interview.
