Same policy here. Doors are locked, but parents are welcome any time. I agree that it would create suspicion if parents were not welcome to show up any time.

Our schools and daycares are not locked where I live.
Are you in a small town? All of the schools and daycare centres that I know of here in Ottawa are kept locked. If I am late and the bell has gone when taking my son to school, the doors are locked and I have to buzz in on the intercom at the front (I make sure I am never late because of this LOL).Quote:
