Last chance, hope some people post

I'm just copying the email that Marbles (my friend Christy) sent out to everyone regarding the private (as in providers only) forum. Thanks. We were really hoping the forum would take off as it is WAY more secure than here to post on. :unsure:

How can she check when someone emails whether they are really a daycare or not. As in what makes it more secure.

I like other peoples opinion on the subject that is why im posting and i would want to hear parents' point of view as well as day home providers. To be honest, I like it here. Whenever I have problems(recently, I wasn't able to post I don't why) moderators or owners of this web site helped me. Beside, how would your friend know who is parent and who is provider? And aren't we all parents' as well as providers? Well... except me :) and when we post responses we post as a parent and as a provider.
I'm happy to be here and I don't see a reason to go to another web site as I have always found answers whenever I need them on here so I dont find the need to leave. I would have leave this place if you asked me a year ago when I first became a member :) Good luck to your friend though.

They need to give their daycare info. Like an ad, website, or a reccomendation from another provider (like me or another) who knows they are a provider.

I get what your saying Cocoon, but I imagine its more to avoid parent's who troll, to be negative and verbally beat up on daycare providers. I definitaly won't leave daycare bear, but I am always open to explore other opportunities too. :)

Yes, no one is saying or even asking anyone to leave this forum. It's just an alternative, that's it that's all. I post here as well and don't plan on leaving either.

I wanted to join but never could get on the website...so gave up :( I like it here too and don't plan to leave...this forum has been a life-saver for me :)

Just to clear things up, nobody is asking anybody to LEAVE this forum, you have been invited to join another forum as well as remaining on this one. I belong to many forums, some I like better than others and depending on what I have to say I choose which forum I will post on.

I already trying to cut back my time networking online cause I have a slight 'addiction' to wanting to help people and share my passion about what we do ~ so joining another forum is not an option for me at the moment :o

Please don't leave us Reggio! I for one really appreciate your advice, help, and knowledge that you share. It has helped me more than you can know :)

I belong to 4 daycare forums and I like different opinions and ideas and the different 'flavours' of the sites. This one is open to parents but most are more private and HDCP's are still careful what they write on the internet but it is much safer when you have big problems and you don't want your own clients to see themselves or wonder if they see themselves on a website and get upset. I joined the new site but I won't leave this one.

fruitloop, I apologize to your friend. I joined and have only been on once or twice. I was having a hard time signing on at times (when the server was too busy) and then I forgot about it :S I received an e-mail from her about having 2 weeks or it would be shut down and I planned on going on and forgot again until you posted this... :S Life has gotten so busy that I find it hard enough to just make it onto this site some days!

I will try my best to remember and go on her site more. I am going to try and sign on now!
