I get rid of it ASAP. Has worked well. Mom knows the ones that have the covers are the poop ones. mom supplies everything and washcloths too.
Have you tried having a diaper box with a mix of water and baking soda to use with the cloths. I have found since our our air dryed, that they can get a bit stiff, and the baking soda water helps to soften then, and cleans with out having to use soaps

Thanks for tip - i'll pass that onto the mom as i don't soak, but she does and they are sometimes a bit stiff. I just put wet bag stuffed with dirties into a plastic canister from dollar store and if there's any smell, that keeps it away. I remember feeling daunted when I was first asked about cloths but it ended up for me being ok. I didn't find more than usual changes but then the kids not a big drinker either so may b different with other kids. If the diapers start to smell (like a hamster cage) mom does deep cleaning. Mom doesn't put in liners either so not used. Trickiest part for me was making sure all exposed diaper cloth is tucked behind the plastic cover or other stuff gets wet.
