"We have had a wonderful 15 years as a family at Le Soleil Montessori. All 4 of our boys attended this school and we undoubtedly see the benefits of the traditional Montessori program that has contributed to the solid foundation our boys have. Madame Edith has always devoted herself above and beyond in providing a beautiful school and a wonderful environment for our children to thrive in. We will miss being a part of this school !! We wish her and Eloise the best of luck and continued success!"

"I've had both of my daughters attend Le Soleil Montessori. I have absolutely no question that Madame Edith (the owner of Le Soleil) has the children's best interest in mind at all times. Having seen how other Montessori schools operate, it is a pleasure to see how unwavering Madame Edith's devotion to the true Montessori curriculum is.

"Le Soleil is solely there for the children. Since my daughter began 10 months ago, her intellectual development has vastly improved in math and language. The Montessori method of le Soleil has helped facilitate my daughter to acquire higher levels of concentration and will power. This has enabled her to begin reading and understanding the relationships and meanings of letters and words. When you hear your 5 year old child happily sound out 'Trapezoid' or 'Parallelogram' you know something is happening. Special focus is also paid to the 'emotional development' though proper and positive communication, etiquette and compassion being modelled and taught within the children's community. Helping others is a fundamental part of being a part of the environment. Most importantly the children are treated with the utmost respect as individuals, not children who are 'not capable'. Staff are gentle, caring and empowering. My daughter can sew and prepare food! This only gives a glimpse of the amazing growth I have been witness to. Watching your young child grow into an independent, healthy, strong and happy individual is the best thing. 3-6 years are their most important years. They need to be somewhere nurturing where their strengths are recognized and unlocked. Choose wisely!!!"

"My son attended Le Soleil Montessori in both the Nanaimo and Tyne locations for 3 years. His time at Le Soleil was a great experience for him, and for my entire family. He entered the school just as his mother and I split up, and the organized structure and routine provided by his teacher, Madame Edith (owner of both locations) was instrumental in helping him deal with a very tough time in his life. She runs a tight ship, with very organized, clean and professional schools at both locations. They follow a registered, proper Montessori program, with a nice balance of learning, cooperation, creativity and play. My son's current teacher has commented on his manners, and his ability to interact in a gentle way with smaller children as well as the older ones. (He just turned 6, but is as big as a 3rd grader!). Ms Chao, his teacher the last year at the Tyne location as the Directress, was also excellent, and took the time to work with my son on many things that he took an interest in. My son never once wanted to miss a day of school, and always looked forward to it. The Christmas Concert, end of year picnic and Multicultural Day were very fun events. Children are given to the time to explore, and play outside every day, which is wonderful for them (and for parents-they sleep well after running around for an hour). Nothing but good stuff to say about this school, in my experience. Communication was excellent the whole time. A great daycare, reasonably priced and professionally run. My son still has friends he made there."
