I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"Please Google "Calgary dayhome operator leaves six young children home alone" and DO NOT send your kids to this dayhome. Back in October 2020, my niece was one of the 6 kids that the dayhome operator has left alone for over an hour. If it wasn't for one of the kids in the dayhome, a 5-year old boy, who bravely went over to the house next door and told an adult that all the kids (all under 5) next door have been "locked" in a room with no adult in the house. Apparently, the dayhome operator has locked them in the room, using just a scarf, that's why the 5-year old managed to escape, and left them all alone. The police were called and just as they got there, the dayhome operator came home, as well. And that's when the police discovered all the other children locked in the room. This is currently being investigated. Apparently, because there's no judgement yet on this case, this dayhome operator is allowed to open up her dayhome again. She has yet to apologize to the parents and to the kids that were victimized back in October 2020. On top of that, she hasn't paid them back for any money she's owing the parents (they have prepaid for November, as well as their deposits)."
