Provider's reply:
"I have a 20 + page contract (this includes all emergency & permission forms, well baby / sickness policy, hours of operation and payment agreement etc. I expect payment on time as any working mother would, and ask that you keep your child at home when they are ill. You will require back up care indeed if you choose to bring your child into my care sick and they need to be picked up or if it is deemed that they are unwell to enter my home. It is the parent's responsiblilty to ensure they have adequate back up care if they cannot stay at home with their sick child. I will offer the same respect in turn and advise my clients when someone in my family is ill or if I have an appointment etc with as much advance notice as possible. My hours of operation must be adhered to; showing up 15-30 minutes prior to my opening hours expecting care will not be tolerated.
Open and honest communication is an integral part of any quality childcare relationship. I ask that this is highly respected in my home business. I am a qualified childcare provider with many years experience working in licensed centres in Ottawa. I am seeking families who can offer respect and appreciation for the ECE profession and for myself as a work at home mother."
