I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"Katherine has been a part of our family for almost a year. She has cared for our son on a full time basis and we have been very fortunate to have her as a part of our lives. Our son is very shy and and does not do well in crowds of people or in unfamiliar environments. Katherine made the transition for us and our son so easy. I never felt sad or uncomfortable leaving my son, because I knew she was giving him the love and attention he needed. Needless to say, he has grown into a loud and happy boy. He loves going to "school", he happily closes the door when I leave, waving and blowing kisses and comes home happy every day! He has learned so much, including sign language, and we are forever grateful to Katherine for being such a big part of our lives! Katherine is very understanding, and willing to accommodate all of my requests when it comes to my son. She has so much experience and is so helpful, and always has great advice for me as a first time Mom! Our family highly recommends East Waterdown Family Child Care!!!"

I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"I had both of my boys with Katherine, my oldest from 2010-2013, my youngest from 2012-2013. We had interviewed many many providers before we met Katherine, and it was like a flood of relief when we finally did because we had become very discouraged in our search and finally we met someone who made us feel comfortable. I believe she has the best balance of everything that makes a daycare provider great. She loves kids, she has tons of energy, she's very creative, and she teaches them a lot in very clever ways that make it fun for them to learn.

I always felt very safe leaving my kids in her care, I knew they would be well cared for, well fed and would have a fun day. I think I was more upset than the kids when she moved to Waterdown!"

I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"After meeting Katharine I knew I'd be ok going back to work. From the moment we met her we knew she truly cared about children and their development.

Our son started with her November 2013. She was so welcoming. Our son had no problems transitioning to full time care, in fact he gets angry when it's time to go!! I, however, took a bit longer to get used to being away from him!! She was extremely understanding and sent updates and pictures throughout the day.

She encourages development, enforces proper manners, feeds amazing meals and most importantly she has created a safe environment for each child to explore and grow. She gets excited about all the little things (ie. walking in boots, saying a version of "all done", not eating finger paint) which, as a parent, means a lot. Each day is filled with activity and structure.

EWFCC has quickly become an extension of our home. We were truly blessed to find her."

I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"We were new to parenthood and new to Burlington, to find childcare for our daughter was truly a daunting and unnerving task! Katherine was the first provider we interviewed and set the bar extremely high. After interviewing several other child care providers both in home and centres we quickly realized that we would not find any better than Katherine, to this day we are steadfast in this belief.
Katherine clearly takes her profession seriously. In the just over 3 years she cared for our daughter, we found her to be reliable, informative, accommodating and a wealth of knowledge for new parents. She creates a safe, healthy and enriching environment for children to grow and explore. Katherine made our daughter feel like she was part of her family and she became part of ours.
Our daughter just started kindergarten this year and had already mastered many of the skills her class is covering now. Thanks to Katherine our child has the confidence and is well prepared to take on the new challenges school will pose."

I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"We had a phenomenal experience with Glover Childcare. When I did my investigations to place my older son in daycare back in 2006, the task as overwhelming. In the end, part of our decision to use this daycare was gut instinct and some was the recommendations of neighbours/other daycare providers. I knew that with every other daycare that I investigated (most of them centers, too), I had the deep down feeling that I could not leave my baby with them. With Katherine, I immediately felt like I was safe and so was my child. Through 6 years of caring for our children, that feeling never left me.

Katherine had great answers about naps (everyone goes and they all go at a regular time), food, and play. The kids almost always go outside (some days are too cold or wet, but otherwise, they go). She had references, a police check, and CPR/First Aid. She is also a licensed carseat technician. She had a parents' handbook and a simple agreement for us to sign. And most important: the kids in her care were happy! I cannot say enough about her, and have give her references a number of times now.

When our youngest was done with daycare, I cried because I wouldn't see her regularly anymore. My kids think of her and her family as an extended part of our family. And there's no better compliment than that."

+4 Childcare provider: Katherine

I obtained services from this family / home daycare, dayhome and I find that:

"Katherine has been providing childcare for our 2 boys since September 2009. From the moment we met her, we felt at ease and secure in our decision to leave our children in her care, first our eldest son (15 months to 3.5 years) and now our younger son (12 months to 27 months). She is professional and extremely knowledgeable about child development/behaviour, child safety, and parenting in general. She works closely with parents and provides regular feedback and communication. Katherine provides a warm and loving environment with just the right combination of structure/routine and free play. The children have fun every day doing different creative crafts and projects or going on fun outings and adventures. Katherine incorporates many elements of preschool teaching, such as literacy and numeracy, into the daycare’s daily activities. Our children love going to her house and seeing all of their friends there.

I just cannot say enough good things about Katherine and her family. I frequently think about how fortunate we are to have met her. I highly recommend her daycare to anyone who is facing the difficult choice of finding just the right person to trust with the care of their child. We will miss her more than words can express. Families of Waterdown – you will be so lucky to have her!!!"
